Enjoy guided tours through our Camellia Garden, where expert docents will share the stories, varieties, and seasonal highlights of these iconic winter flowers. Dive deeper with hands-on camellia workshops, perfect for gardeners, hobbyists, and anyone curious to learn more. Guests also have the opportunity to savor the flavors of a specialty tea tasting that celebrates botanical blends and seasonal notes. Throughout the festival, explore camellia-inspired art by local elementary students in the Farmhouse.
Kids can jump into the fun with engaging children’s activities, crafts, and plenty of outdoor play—including a bounce house to keep the energy high.

Camellia Waxing Workshop - During Camellia Fest

In this hands-on botanical workshop, guests will learn the traditional technique of waxing camellia buds to help them last longer; preserving their color, shape, and delicate beauty well beyond their natural life.
Participants will explore fresh buds gathered from the garden and discover how a thin layer of warm wax can protect and extend the life of these iconic blooms. With guided instruction, each guest will practice the dipping process and take home beautifully waxed buds to enjoy or display.

Join us for an immersive tasting journey celebrating Camellia sinensis, the remarkable plant behind all true tea: white, green, oolong, and black. In this guided workshop, guests will sip their way through a curated selection of teas while learning the rich cultural, historical, and botanical story of the camellia that changed the world.
