The Food Mill, a multifunctional food farmacy is working to eliminate barriers that lead to nutrition insecurity and high rates of diet related illnesses in our community. Through a food is medicine model, that combines affordable access to fresh food, with nutrition and culinary education, and workforce development in the culinary industry, we are healing and empowering lives to leave hunger and poverty behind. Lunch and Learn - Third Wednesday of each month at NOON.
_______________________________________________
Our monthly Lunch and Learn series is a chance to participate in an informal learning session. The monthly topics range from gardening basics, growing tips and history on specific flora and fauna varieties, environmental conservation, pollinators and birds, community programs, flower arranging, self-improvement through nature, and more. The class lesson goes for approximately 45 minutes, with a 15-minute Q&A session at the end. An experienced instructor with the knowledge and skills to give trusted and accurate information on the class subject leads each class.
